Strategy and Program
Strategic reviews provide a health check of a project or programme of work. A health check would typically provide insight to the sustainability of return on investment and outcomes. Our strategic review is further underpinned by our research database.
Benefits
Independent assessment
Our team of advisors is independent of any vendor and does not represent or promote the products or agendas of any party involved in the programme.
Expert assessment
The team consists of individuals with extensive experience. In addition they are backed up by the DATAMONITOR, Butler and ComputerWire research databases.
Success evaluation
The strategic review will give the executive an assessment of the likelihood that the project will fully meet its objectives and business outcomes, backed up by the evidence, logic or opinions to support the assessment.
Risk identification
The review will identify the risks associated with the programme and highlight the critical risks.
Recommendations
The review will contain the recommendations to improve results, mitigate risks and manage costs that can be identified during the review, and will indicate the areas where more in-depth analysis is likely to uncover further opportunities for improvement.
Who should use this service
Typically the person accountable for the benefits realization of the programme, such as the sponsor or business owner, would commission the review. This could, however, differ from case to case.
If you face the following challenges you should use this service:
- You are concerned that a project or organizational initiative has lost focus, or is no longer meeting its original mandate
- You need an independent and outside view of a project or initiative
- You need to be assured of the likelihood of project success and apprised of critical actions that need to be taken to ensure success
- You are concerned that the risks of a given initiative are higher than they should be
How it works
The CXO Advisor team will typically begin the study by reviewing the programme objectives, business outcomes and/or the business case for the programme. They will then analyse the programme documentation such as plans, deliverables and reports. From this, together with the initial brief, a plan will be drafted for the rest of the survey.
