IT Management Practice

The CXO IT Management practice has been formed to capacitate organisations, given the skills shortage in IT and the need for varying skills at different stages of business development. Our services here include outsource contract management, outsource PMO and project management, operations management/Service management, CIO and IT Manager, support and demand management.

In support of these services CXO has developed its own methodologies and practices. In addition we have developed a number of assessments that assist management in understand how IT is performing in “Managing IT Like a Business”. The output of these assessments are used to create road maps to fill the gap between current practice and behaviour and what is expected by the business, it is very useful also to give context to a mentoring/ coaching program.

IT Recruitment Practice

The CXO Recruitment practice was established to assist our clients with capacitating projects and to source specialist skills that are difficult to find. Our knowledge and standing in the IT industry enables us to understand our clients ITC staffing needs and identify where these people are in the market, so that we can contact them directly. Many of these people are not actively looking to move, so the normal run of the mill agencies battle to find suitable candidates. Our success in our client base in sourcing this talent has prompted CXO to focus and to expand this area of our business. To this end we are in the process of teaming up with a major player in the market to enable us to expand out focused IT recruitment into more areas of IT recruitment. We expect to announce the expanded business in the early part of 2010.

CXO coaching, mentoring and education

The CXO coaching and training practice delivers online and off line coaching and training, including offline seminars to executives. Seminars include, Managing IT like a business, What Business Really wants form IT, IT Governance, Managing IT costs and value and Achieving IT flexibility. Custom seminars are also developed at client request in any of the business focus areas for Managing IT like a business:
