From an IT perspective it must deliver services that sustain the business “without fuss” and at the lowest possible cost (and appropriate risk level) with the best possible service. IT posture is the sum of the attitude that an organisation has towards their IT function, and self-image that IT has of itself within that organisation. The result affects the role that IT plays (and can play) in the business – both positive and negative. It goes without saying that posture dramatically affects IT value perceptions (and realities).
