A recent rant of mine was directed at an IT Department who thought that business benefits were nothing to do with them – especially when making a case for technical infrastructure. In this diatribe, I described how the financial director of a company had to fish their latest business case out of his dustbin to show me how they had written “not applicable” in the business benefits field of the business case form.
